It is "paedophilia".

The report before the Standards Committee made it clear that a councillor was found to have:

*Used the laptop provided by the council
*To download using his own telephone line and in his own time
*Pictures of a pornographic nature which were NOT paedophilic or otherwise illegal.

No offence was committed.

Whatever you or I might think of pornography, it is not against the law to use it. Some might think it less harmful than some of the stuff posted on this site.

It was clearly a very misguided thing to do, but those who wish to draw attention to it, which is their right, should not distort what was found to have happened.
