What is the Local Government Association up to while all this goes on? Somebody ought to be pleading the case for Local Authorities as a whole.

I gather that LBRuT relies upon the LGA to provide responses to Government Consultation Papers. Most London Boroughs (approx. two thirds of them) respond for themselves. I wanted to see what LBRuT had to say for itself but got some very dodgy replies from a relevant Director instead.

I also had a reply from the Council's so called "Principle Policy Analyst", from the "Best Value & Business Planning Unit". Strangely, he had not been at all involved, in any sense, with the housing stock sale.

Ergo, the sale had nothing whatsoever to do with Best Value & Business Planning. Par for the course, I suppose.
