If I do, I imagine I will be in good company.

I have been trying to explain to people on this site, who have hitherto only been exposed to the mixture of half-truths and untruths paraded in front of them by you and others what happened 15 or so years ago when other people, not me, made a planning decision.

I have explained that in planning terms, not emotional ones. My personal feelings about losing this facility are not material to that decision. If you don't like the planning regime we have here, you can:

a. Campaign for it to be changed (but what to?);
b. Leave the country and go and live somewhere else;
c. Become an insurgent.
d. Complain about decisions made within the current law and seek to blacken the name of those involved.

(d) is the easiest of these, and you have done just that for many years.

I'd like to say that I had expected something more from someone who has campaigned for an ice rink for many years, and who despite his hostile approach to the council and the attendant waste of public money, has the respect for his persistence from many people.
