IT IS NOT DIFFICULT TO SQUARE what I have said with these answers, and there is no' mountain of fantasy'. I promise you that you have been misinformed by others in The Lib Dem Party. Don't make the mistake of getting tarred with the same brush if you weren't at the scene. The Council initially asked for advice on the planning 'variation,' but 10 days before it was verified the barrister Daniel Robbins was found dead in his car and no new 'advice' was sought. No-one knew the advice given because the man was dead. There are no records of any advice for the meeting of 25th September 1989 to consider. The meeting chaired by Tim Razzall,of the 25th Sept 1989 were hidden by Richard Harbord for 4 years. Tim Razzall denied the meeting ever took place and even on TV couldn't remember such a meeting. The meeting agreed the sale of the planning permission for £2,500,000 , and was illegal. This was confirmed on live BBC TV, with Local Government Correspondent Andrew Hoskins, when we eventually had a copy of the minutes found in the civic centre by newly elected Tony Arbour. Later David Williams wrote hundreds of letters to skaters who had written to him assuring them a new rink would be built when he knew it would not be, because of the terms agreed at the 25th Sept meeting. These now recorded facts, under oath and with verifiable copies of documents produced at The Court of Appeal and now at The European Parliament, are not hearsay. The Court cases were lost only because of the 58day time limits. This matter will never 'go to bed' and perhaps now you ,as a Solicitor can see why. And YES, the temporary rink was wonderful, as a proper permanent one would be. The Manor Road site was considered at The Public Enquiry but 'the alternative use' put up by The Council as the reason for turning down the initial planning was not persued. In fact The Barrister was instructed by Richard Harbord to offer no evidence... He said ' The Council has nothing to say' on reason No. 4'. Effectively allowing The Inspector to allow The Superstore. The Inspector did not allow me to speak at this point in the Inquiry, which is why I took the matter to The High Court. As you can see, the waters were very murky, but eventually the truth will come out, it always does. If you want to know the whole story why not pop along to The Gallery, or a local pub and get it from me direct? Before the book is published. |
