For about three years I have experienced intermittent pain on the top of the foot, and have been treated for stress fracture and neuroma. The metatarsal shoe helped, but after several weeks with it, I had to discontinue wearing it due to DJD; lots of arthritis. I also tried a metatarsal pad, but that was intolerable. I cannot stand the pressure from underneath the foot. The pain is worse than ever, and there is a good amount of redness (little veins) showing now. There is some redness between the typical two toes of neuroma, but the worst pain is from the base of the three smallest toes up to about two inches above that area. Any suggestions?
