I have recently been advised by my podiatrist that bunion surgery is indicated. He uses a product known as "orthosorb", which is a pin material which is absorbed by the body following surgery, eliminating the need to have a metal pin removed. I am not familiar with this technique, as most people I know who have had similar surgery have had the metal pin. Any comments? Any known problems with this product? Has anyone had this product used in their surgery? Thanks for your input. |
