Although there are many alternatives to fixation orthosorb remains my favorite IF THE SPECIFIC PROCEDURE AND PATIENT ARE CHOSEN PROPERLY. That means that all patients /all feet are not good candidates for any specific method of fixation. In fact during surgery I may change my mind about the fixation and use a pin or screw if the procedure warrants it.
