Thanks for replying.
If I elect not to do surgery for partial removal, is there a chance it could still heal without shockwave? In other words, if I just leave it alone and wear my sneakers with special padding and naturally no running, dancing, etc,.
I wore an EBI bone stimulator 10 hrs a day for roughly 3 months and it did nothing, which was upsetting.
In case you're wondering, I have been with this problem since February 13, day after my b-day!! and there has been no improvement, although once in a while it feels ok but then after walking for some time it goes right back to that same pain. I was never casted, which I'll never know if that would have helped, and I have worn a walking boot, has cortisone.
I am terrfied to have the surgery, I know there are potential complications (cock-up deformity, bunions, etc,.) and I worry that I'll never walk the same again and/or have a limp. My current doc. (#6) seems to think that if it were going to heal it would have done so by now.
Any thoughts......
