Haglund's deformity would have presented as a visiblly irritated bump on the back of the heel, almost in the mid-line, but just lateral to the insertion of the Achilles tendon. It should only have been painful if and when the counter of your shoe rubbed against it or put pressure on it. You had related nothing even vaguely like that in your original post, so I am confused over the diagnosis that you report having just received. What treatment regimen were you offered? There should be no association between any such navicular problem such as you reference and Haglund's deformity. |
