More important than an answer to your question on which I have only confusing and limited information is a firm comment on your responsibilities to yourself as a patient. Teaching you to fish, rather than giving you a fish . . so to speak. It is not acceptable that your doctor told you that he/she found something which was not anticipated and did not discuss it or its treatment with you. It is even more unacceptable that you allowed this to happen, by not, on that very spot and at that very time, DEMANDING a through explanation of both his/her findings and whatever treatment plan was in order. Instead, it seems you said, "Thank you your majesty for taking my money, I'll go look up the condition and its treatment on the Internet and get back to you to give you more money."
Now, the above statement will probably make you angry, as I've place a portion of your information quandary upon YOU. But you, and patients in general have to understand that when you engage a doctor (and that doesn't come cheap), you are not dealing with royalty, and you don't have to take what ever pittance you are offered, and then back out of the room bowing. You want and you deserve answers, and you should not have left without getting that for which you came and paid.
Now, I could make all sorts of suppositions at to what the doctor saw and what might be the appropriate treatment, but you have someone who you have employed to do that. Why sit at your computer awaiting an answer from someone who has never seen you or examined your foot and who cannot possible offer you an explanation as appropriate to your case as that which might be gotten from the doctor who you personally engaged?
Should you be worried? Could the diagnosis be linked to what you came to have evaluated? I don't know . . . but I know who should have a better idea of that than I.
So, no . . . I have not answered the question which you came here to ask. What I HAVE done is hopefully given you some incentive to take the reins when you see your doctor again. Go for it!
