I've started to get a pain at the top of my arch and was looking for help on a diagnosis. Here is the story:
I used to be a very serious runner but stopped competing when i finished college 2 years ago. I have run in spurts since then and decided to start training steadily again last week. After running for about 7 days averaging 4-5 miles a day i started to get a pain in the arch of my foot. The pain started mid run and felt like a strain so i didnt think much of it. The next day i stretched it out very good(still thinking it was just a strain) and went running. After a painful 4 miles i came back and started massaging my foot to locate the pain. The pain is occuring on a bone on the side of my foot on the arch. When i feel under the bone i feel the tender spot. When first browsing the internet i thought it might be plantar faci but as i run my fingers along that tendon i dont really feel any pain. What could it be? Hope this info helps and if there is anything else you need explained just ask, thanks!
