Valerie,
I realize that you have spent alot of time trying to get this to heal. Yes more time could heal the bone. I have a colleague who has been using ESWT( shockwave) to stimulate this bone to heal. He practices in St. Louis. Surgery is another alternative to resolving this problem. Removal of the entire bone would be my choice, with the risk of a Possibile bunion down the road. If you have a degree of bunion presently this should be corrected with the removal of the sesamoid bone. Feel free to ask any additional questions
