After being named and shamed by the Secretary of State for Health as one of the worst borough's for providing for social services (and that's not all!) why has not the SS Director Peter Wilson been sacked.
Gillian Norton will not do it because such a precedant could be used against her as well (lets face it she is not brilliant). So what does she arrange for Wilson - a fat golden handshake of £250,000+ (detailed figure to follow)
Not bad for a Director who has overseen the shambles of social services at Richmond. Anywhere else he would have been dismissed. It's not too late - so come on Gill & Serge dismiss the man before he retires with ratepayers money to his hunting lodge in the Lakes. |
