Down Richmond Hill from my Gallery nearly all the shops have packed up and gone, others are for sale. Why? Lack of business and an inability to pay THE BUSINESS RATES. The killer for small business everywhere as Councils pocket the parking fines from the double yellow lines also killing business on Richmond Hill.What do they do with the money collected? Pay it to departing staff apparently.Not a sustainable way to govern Richmond, is it ? |
