Certainly, any symptoms of unknown etiology which both bother one and persist should be brought to the attention of an appropriate doctor. But among other things, it may be that you have undergone atrophy of the cushioning fad pad at the ball of the feet. This occurs typically as one ages, but may be more prevalent in sufferers of rheumatoid arthritis.
