When treating neuromas, we usually start off with the sclerosing injections and orthotics. As much fun as surgery is when you are on the dull side of the knife, the cause is usually something biomechanical. If the biomechanical deformity can be corrected conservatively, go for it. If the alcohol injections do not provide sufficient relief, we provide the Cryo surgery in our office. We have done this procedure many times without complications and patients are up and walking after the procedure. It takes about 10 minutes per foot and is done under local anesthesia. Feel free to e-mail back if you have any questions about the cryo procedure and we can find a provider near you to perform this highly effective procedure.
Good luck with whatever option you choose. |
