Characterizing a sensations as "shocking" can mean different things to different people, but if you are speaking of an electrical-like sensation, if it occurs more commonly at night, ostensibly while lying down, and if that sensation traverses the entire limb, it is reasonable to assume that you have a nerve irritation problem, perhaps aggravated by pressure in the back while in certain positions. I would suggest at least a look-see by a doctor who deals with back/spine/nerve problems, and if that is ruled out to see a podiatrist for causes local to the foot. |
