you may indeed have recalcitrant plantar fasciitis.multiple other conservative treatment options exist including corticosteroid injections,nsaids/cox2 inhibitors,analgesics,immobilization:semi and non-wt bearing,prescribed physical therapy, and electro-shock wave therapy.seek another opinion before the surgical option.
you may fail all other conservative treatment and ultimately require surgery.however,the patient usually takes me to the operating room for elective surgical procedures and not the reverse. |
