I am an active athlete, and after playing football (on a fairly hard surface) I noticed that I have a kind of throbbing pain on the top of my foot. From internet diagrams it looks like possibly where the tarsals and metatarsals meet. The area is slightly raised and slightly painful to the touch. After running the symptoms on another site, they suggested the remedy for metatarsalgia which amounted to nothing but rest and ibuprofen. Does that sound accurate to you and how long will the symptoms persist usually? |
