Mr. Robert Hancock joined Richmond Council a couple of years ago. He came from a Charity from which he was asked to leave because he had "failed to declare conflicts of interest." He was, however, appointed by Richmond and almost, almost (much to his chagrin) got the Chief Executive post at Richmond. He was also suspect in that he had left hospitality accounts in the red, after a long period of sauntering around the world on behalf of the Charity for which he worked. He had, apparently, doe the same thing at a previous Charitable organisation for which he worked. In addition to this, he appointed Vincent McDonnell as head of Education at Richmond without declaring that he knew Mr. McDonnel personally and was, at the time, living with him. Mr. Hancock is currently under investigation by the Charity Commission for various unsavoury activities, including a charge of sexual harassment at his last place of work. Can somebody please explain how he got a job at Richmond and how he has managed to secure a payoff of £275,000 at Counciltaxpayers expense?
This really is not acceptable. |
