Civil Partnerships give legal rights akin to marriage and these include 'Becoming English' with an immediate right to a UK Passport and residency. I will not be surprised to see 2 or 3 million Third World people suddenly arriving at Heathrow to assert their homosexuality ( Or pretended homosexuality ) in order to make 'Seeking Asylum' a thing of the past. The breakup of a civil partnership after say 3 years will not as far as I can see ,mean repatriation. Of course The Government will announce that The World has suddenly become safer because less have sought asylum, when in reality those of us who have supported such things as an old age pension find that 'The Fund' has been further dilluted. The easiest thing in The World is to spend someone else's money.
