Again and again it comes up in conversations. The Achilles Heel of this Council. The Liberal Democrat Council. Whether the initial disgrace of getting rid of the only business in Richmond which was World famous and attracted 10,000 pleasant well behaved people to the town per week:Or the lethal misrespresentation of facts at The Gas Works, possible replacement site, Public Enquiry. The Ice Rink has not been on The Agenda of Council Meetings for TEN YEARS. The Twickenham Riverside public meeting mentioned it, in fact quoted it as something that could happen again...i.e.the loss of public facilities for MONEY, going in several directions. I hate those who got rid of our ice-rink, I don't think they'll be going to heavan. |
