Keeping the bombing going provides a bonanza for US and UK construction companies as Afghanistan is rebuilt with US and UK taxpayer's money, so-called foreign aid. Hold on ! Are we not already paying £1 million each for every cruise missile ? Well yes, but look at the stock markets, going up when they should have collapsed. This war could end the recession. The new 'Govt' for Afghanistan could be Bilderberg, the dream of 'The Business' in Ian Bank's book, or at any rate a West friendly, big business friendly, stable and close to Caspian oil type. Who's complaining ? Certainly not the 90% illiterate Afghan voters who will get new hospitals, new schools, houses, airports roads, and vote accordingly. Its such a merry-go-round ( Bin Laden's business is construction and via being a £10 million shareholder in arms dealer Carlyle Group via Deutschebank , arms)one wonders how such a grand scenario was orchestrated. See last nights Evening Standard article by Ross Davies 'Building Firms gearing up for post war bonanza', other facts from Wall Street Journal and Washington Post.
