A legal threat is still in place against Richmond Council for not, amongst other things, keeping proper minutes of the planning meeting where an agreement that the flats on the carpark would not be built before the future of the pub is guaranteed.Technically the current application for 'bar and restaurant' could fall into the agreed requirement as although the flats are for sale, they are not actually built. But is this 'bar and restaurant' a valid replacement for the pub ? What floor area of the original pub will be used for further flats ? My legal threat was part of keeping to the terms of The UDP, keeping public facilities open, keeping the use and character of the riverside for public use. Should this application fall beneath these essential principles then I shall serve High Court papers without further notice. |
