I think contributors to Watchdog are unfair to Robert Hancock. No one can really be that evil, can they? I think he is merely an employee, a paid heavy, an enforcer, whose political masters pull the strings. We must look elsewhere for the real villian, to Cllr (Dai the Lie) David Williams. He is a deceptively quite, well mannered, Machiavellian character, who sits in the back seat with his hands very firmly on the controlling strings of cabinet, leader and senior officers.
He is personally responsible for the Riverside debacle, the Squires debacle, the Manor Road debacle, for corruption on our planning system, for the debt of the council, for our huge taxes.
The true enemy of the people of this borough is not in the BVI, he is here and he lives in Petersham.
