Did you know that the new expansion at Heathrow is to be another airport, larger than Gatwick? I've just seen a plan. The "Spin Doctors" have really been clever in calling it a "Terminal" ie Terminal 5. This new airport will mainly be for transfer flights; BA makes flying cheaper via Heathrow rather than direct flight, BAA get lots of money in their huge shopping malls.
WE. What do we get? MORE POLLUTION, MORE NOISE, MORE EXPOSURE TO DANGER. Some might even be FLOODED as the new building will cover ancient marsh lands.
I've received a notice about a protest march in central London this Sat 14 Nov. Meet Whitehalll Place at 11.00 for 12.00march to Downing Stretet. I shall be there, will any of you? |
