Lots of people have already made some very good starts.

That's the easy bit.

It is somewhere between there and the finish that it all goes wrong.

Anybody want to read my vast collection of ring folders full of correspondence, papers and notes?

In the end you have to learn to be grateful for small mercies.

How much local Authority consultation would take place if electors had to pay for it directly. How many would attend the meetings if admission charges had to cover the practical costs?

I recall going along to Richmond Library Local studies a while back to look through their boxes of Council papers. I had to sort through a vast pile of unsorted recent stuff. Nobody else had been at it for ages. Ask Jane Baxter how often anybody bothers to look at it.
