Your apparent assumption that either you had sustained a fracture or there is nothing really wrong is not a valid one. There are many other scenarios involving other tissues and other events than fracture which could be at the cause of your continuing pain. It is not possible for anyone simply reading your account to determine what you sustained, how serious it may have been and what the prognosis is. Neither do I know from your post if any diagnosis, much less a misdiagnosis had been made or whether or not a return visit for followup or re-evaluation was recommended. So, it is unclear to me as to whether something was missed or whether it was determined that rest, supportive care and time was all that would be necessary. Perhaps the most appropriate thing for you to do at this time would be to contact the doctor who you saw and ask his or her advice on what was expected and if a further visit is thought to be needed.
