hello all
about two years ago i had bad foot problems. my big toes were inverted about 90 degrees on both feet so i had an operation to straighten them out. this meant breaking the toes and reseting them...
i naively thought this would be a simple procedure but i have had so many problems since then..
as a result the arches in my feet have collasped and now i have to wear insoles in my shoes for the rest of my life it seems..
my ankles bend inward now due to this collaspe which as caused the toe on my right foot toe to stick outwards and when i straighten out my ankle my big toe does not rest on the floor. consequently i have very bad balance
when i walk, particulary upstairs i have an aching feeling in my knees...
when i approached the orthopadic surgeon about this is bluntly stated that i should never put on a great deal of body weight because this would be disastrous to my knees and leg structures. Also i will never be able to play contact sport again etc
He told me this after the operation but was all too happy to start the procedure without telling me of any side effects
i am absolutely devasted about this and since i am only 24 years old i feel that irreversible damage had been done... i need help.. if possible i would like to find out who could correct what was done so i can just walk normal and feel normal again.. |
