Last night my doctor left a message on my answering machine at home. He apologized as he realized that he only gave me bad news (long recovery) but neglected to tell me that in all the cases of foot drop after surgery they've all recovered 100%. Important point to leave out, don't you think? Anyway the other thing he said was that he's prescribed medrol. I don't have that much inflamation so what good with this steroid due me, other than bloat me to make me even more heavy while I'm unable to exercise ;-) This guy isn't my real doctor, he's covering my doc as he's out for the Thanksgiving week. Can't wait to hear what the real guy has to say.
Am I out of line to ask for a referral to a neurologist to get start EMG testing?
Also, what kinds, if any, of therapy is typically recommended for foot drop?
Thanks to anyone who's listening out there! Julie |
