Likely you have a soft corn. These corns are caused by the rubbing together of opposing bony prominences of adjacent toes. Conservative treatment generally includes paring down of the keratosis (should be done by a professional) and the use of padding to keep areas of the bony prominence from contacting. I would generally discourage the use of "medicated" corn pad, creams or drops, as there is the potential for ulceration, especially if there is a great deal of perspiration. When conservative treatment proves insufficient, a relatively simple surgical procedure has statistically excellent results. |
