Hi, I'm an average 13 year old, who just happens to have Sever's Disease. I'm an active person and I play club soccer. My sever's disease started in the middle of the season and now (about 3 months on)it's still a pain. It's only in my right heel, and I've only just started applying ice packs and stretching for the past couple weeks. I've also got othortics and heel cushions, but they only slightly help.
When I first felt the signs of pain, I ignored it because I thought it would go away, but that's got me no where. I haven't been to a physiotherapist yet, so if i went, how would they help me? Say if I was to ask like how long until I can play sport again? Would they be able to answer?
I'd also like to know if I should ask for a cast on my leg, so I don't keep putting pressure on my right heel. Is there anything else I can do? |
