Hi Karl,
Bing restarted his numbering system at #1000 in mid-1968, so there are two #3036 and #3353, one from early 1964 and one from early 1969. Bing boards from these two periods of time are radically different. The 1964 boards were longboards, typically "pig shapes" with large fiberglass skegs, a blue Bing decal on the deck, and usually 9-ft or longer. By 1969, most Bings were short, 7 to 8-ft, had a removable plastic (polycarbonate) Waveset fin, and usually sported a decal with a model name on it (in 1969, it was the Foil). Please tell me a little bit about your boards, and once we pin down what you have, Bing will look up the serial numbers in his original order book and send you a "birth certificate" for each board, which will tell you when they were made and who ordered them.
If you email me some photos, I can tell you a lot more about your boards. Please send photos to setwave@msn.com .
