I know what you mean. I have the same thing on my toe. I used salicylic acid pads to remove the callus. The callus looks like it's almost gone, but the area is red. Will it ever look the same???? Do I keep using the salicylic acid? What does it mean when people say it burns the skin? I've seen a lot of things online about how to prevent calluses, but what is the best way to get rid of them if we're not supposed to use over the counter acid products?

I went to the podiatrist today and he said he couldn't do anything for me. He wanted to x-ray my toe cuz he said I had hammer toes. Um....NO I do NOT. Not in denial either. I only got the callus from a pair of work shoes I wore every single day. My toes are straight and not curved at all. I wanted to yell at him. I need to know if my toe will ever look normal again. please help.
