Dear David.

Based upon what you descibe it is very differcult to tell whether you could be showing early signs of Diabetes Mellitus, or not.

I'm assuming you are experiencing numbness in your feet, which could simply be caused by compression on a nerve. For example some people suffer from Sciatica (a symptom caused by compression of the Sciatic nerve at the level of the hip).

Some factors that greatly increase your chance of diabetes are a family history and obesity. Some physical signs are increase thirst, lowered energy levels etc...

I realise this may provide more questions than answers. Your best bet would be to do some reseach under subject headings of Diabetes, Diabetes Mellitus, visiting your local Podiatrist, District Nurse, or General Practitioner.

Hope this helps
