When the pins will be removed is at the discretion of the doctor who you chose to perform the surgery. I suggest you talk to that doctor and direct any question regarding your individual surgery to him or her. I would be very interested in understanding why that has not have been the primary route which you have chosen to take for an answer to these questions. Generally speaking both removal of stitches and the sort of pins which you seem to describe is relatively painless. That being said, some patients will complain more than others.
