 Subject: failed fusion of first toe

I had a bunion removed and a inplant placed into the joint. One year later after much pain an orthpedic removed the inplant,put a graft into joint and fused. The plate broke after 3 mos.It is now 6 mos. I am having a lot of pain. The dr. Is going to take out the hardware. Using the kellar technique. In effect leaving it as is. Need some guidance on this.
