 Subject: Bunion surgery- Orthopedic or Podiatrist

I have been told by a poditrist that I would benefit from bunion surgery b/c of my tendency to roll my feet out when I walk and the fact that I am so flat footed this only pushs the joints together which can cause in-grown nails and the curiture of my toes.

Should I get a second opinion and if so from an orthopedic or a podiatrist? My biggest fear of the surgery itself is will it help, being htat I don't habve that much pain now, but can already see my toes curving to teh tright (thisis my right foot), and the second is I can't sit still so being out of work for a few days and limited activites for 2 months just baffles me.

Please advise.
