***********************************************************Owing entirely to your statement that the heel hurts when you first get out of bed, the diagnosis of plantar fasciitis cannot be overlooked. There is no particular reason to believe that it is directly related to you ankle trauma, unless the condition were waiting to happen and that trauma was enough to suddenly put tension on the plantar fascia and precipitate symptoms.

This condition and its general care is very well covered on this forum, and it would be superfluous to restate all of the previous information which can be easily read in the archives here by using the search facility at the top menu of this page.

You might find that the description of your condition is not consistent with this information, and if that is the case, you probably should see a podiatrist rather than attempted to receive a diagnosis without examination.

In any case, there is no such thing as one treatment fits all, so it would be best that you receive definitive treatment instructions from a doctor who has personally seen you.
